Flights depart daily at sunrise. You arrive at the We Fly Teotihuacan reception around 5:30 a.m. for check-in and coffee, then lift off at first light. The operating window runs 5:30 to 11:00 a.m.; mornings have the calmest winds and the most beautiful light over the pyramids.

The flight itself lasts 45 to 60 minutes in the air, depending on wind conditions. Counting arrival, check-in, the safety briefing, the post-flight sparkling-wine toast and breakfast (included in the other packages, optional on the Shared flight), the full experience takes most of the morning, so plan from roughly 5:30 a.m.

The balloon port is about 45 minutes from central Mexico City. You can drive yourself with free on-site parking, or add our optional round-trip transport: we pick you up at your hotel at no extra cost if it is within 4 km of the Angel of Independence (Reforma, Juarez, Zona Rosa, Centro Historico, Roma, Condesa). Wear a light jacket or sweater, long pants and closed, flat shoes — mornings are cool. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a cap and a camera or phone with a strap. Avoid skirts, sandals, heels and loose scarves. Don't forget a valid government-issued photo ID — a passport is always accepted, as is official photo ID issued by your country. You show it at check-in together with your booking QR code, and it is what allows us to register you under the travel insurance that covers your flight. Without it you cannot board, though you can reschedule your flight for another date, subject to availability and our date-change policy. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who presents ID and signs for them.

Children may fly when accompanied by an adult, and there is no strict upper age limit if you are in good health. The activity is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with serious heart conditions. If you have mobility concerns or questions about weight or restrictions, message us on WhatsApp before booking and we will advise.

Yes. For balloon balance and safety, passengers over 95 kg pay $50 MXN per extra kilo, charged at reception on the day of the flight.

Yes — children are welcome to fly when accompanied by a parent or adult guardian, and families are some of our happiest guests. The basket is tall, so very small children need to be lifted to see over the edge. If you are traveling with kids, let us know their ages on WhatsApp and we will recommend the best flight for your group.

Your flight includes the 45–60 minute balloon ride, a sparkling-wine honor toast after landing, hot coffee on arrival, a personalized flight certificate, travel insurance and free parking. A traditional Mexican breakfast is included in the other packages and is an optional add-on on the Shared flight. Round-trip transport from Mexico City is also an optional add-on you can request when you book.

Yes. Every passenger must present a valid government-issued photo ID to complete check-in at the We Fly Teotihuacan reception desk on the day of the flight. This is required to register you under the travel insurance policy that covers the flight: without proof of identity we cannot add you to it. International visitors can identify themselves with their passport or with the official ID of their own country. The person who made the booking must present ID matching the name on the booking, the one shown on the confirmation email and flight pass. Minors do not need their own ID: they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who presents ID and signs on their behalf. Passengers who cannot present ID will not be allowed to board. They may reschedule their flight, subject to availability and our date-change policy.
